My Philosophy
As an artist and a consumer of art, I believe that tattoos are more than just body art - they are a form of self-expression and individuality. That's why I work closely with each customer to create a design that truly reflects their personality and style. I believe in giving my clients a comfortable and private environment during their tattoo experience and I pride myself on being a multifaceted artist who can execute many desired styles in the industry.
My Standards
I take safety and sanitation very seriously at Ink by Star. My home studio is licensed and regulated by the state, and I use only single-use needles and sterilized equipment. Rest assured that your health and safety is my top priority. I have been tattooing more than seven years and have had zero incidences of infection or cross contamination.
About The Artist
Star first began her journey of art and self expression in 2008 where she was an honor student art courses offered to gifted students with an eye for art composition. She then went on to Major in Art and Design at the University of Minnesota. Star later discovered that her canvas of choice was ink on skin so in 2016 she began her tattoo apprenticeship in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was casted on Black Ink Chicago in 2019 and has guest chaired at studios like 2nd city ink, and 7 shades of grey, both located in Chicago, Illinois. She opened and owned her first Tattoo studio in uptown, a hip urban pocket of the twin cities, in 2021. She now tattoos from her home-based studio to balance her love of tattooing and parenting.
